Protaisthesis

Ch. 16.9
The transitional capacity between prothumos and thumos; a pre-linguistic sensitivity oriented toward the invisible.
Protaisthesis is a bridging concept between prothumos (primitive, universal existential warmth) and thumos (the fully developed, human capacity for meaning-production). It defines the transitional phase in which an organism is no longer merely reactive, but does not yet possess conceptual thought either: a sensitivity toward the invisible has begun to take shape, but has not yet been formulated as a "question."

This three-stage structure (prothumos → protaisthesis → thumos) shows that the theogenic drive does not appear suddenly, but is the result of a gradual evolutionary trajectory.
