Crystallization Paradox

Ch. 45.5
Every successful belief system crystallizes by virtue of its success, thereby ending the search it began.
The heart of the paradox is this: if a belief system fails, crystallization never happens, because it does not spread, does not become institutionalized, is not passed on to future generations. But when it succeeds, that very success is what freezes it. The better a system works, the faster it brings about its own end.

This is not something any founder of a religion deliberately planned; it is a structural necessity. Understanding the mechanism, rather than assigning blame, is Protodism's basic stance.
