Metaxitos

Ch. 48.17
A person living in the metaxima condition.
Metaxitos is the name for the person living through the metaxima condition: someone who has seen the mold but has not yet fully stepped out of it. This term allows this in-between state to be recognized as an identity/category in its own right: neither "still a believer" nor "already departed"; a position valid in itself, between the two.

Naming this category matters, because most popular discourse renders this in-between state invisible, even though many people spend a long stretch of their lives exactly here.
