Thumolysis

Ch. 48.17
The release of thumos that follows theolysis.
If theolysis is the closing of the drive's object, thumolysis is the release of the energy that drive was carrying. This energy does not disappear; it becomes redistributable. Some people channel it into art, some into relationships, some into a new field of curiosity.

Leaving thumolysis unmanaged creates the risk of "lateral shift": the energy can immediately reattach to another mold without ever having gone through a genuine opening.
